After ten years as a video and film editor, in 2011 Toddy joined Picture Farm Production as partner, executive creative director, lead editor, “in-house” director and head of post production. Establishing a “post-first” creative process – a way of looking at projects through the editor’s eye then reverse engineering the project from delivery back to the brief – he helped transform the Brooklyn-based production service business into an award winning international content production company.
In the dizzying years, Picture Farm maintained satellite offices in Barcelona, London, Los Angeles, Berlin and an art gallery in Williamsburg, Brooklyn which produced both an annual film festival (and still does) and an annual three day hydrodynamic design symposium.
In his role as executive creative director, executive post producer and supervising editor, Toddy’s remit included: creative partnerships, business development & strategy, marketing branding + design + communication, technical systems oversight, hiring & fostering talent, internships, gallery curation, post supervision and artist collaborations while managing multiple year/season/project partnerships with brands like Nike, ESPN & Fox Sports, Laura Mercier and West Elm. And, of course, shooting and editing and writing anything anything else didn’t want to.
In 2023 he left the company to continue partnering with interesting thinkers, fellow artists and brands.
