NOTES FOR TELEMARKETERS
For the last ten years, Toddy has been trying to come to grips with the seemingly inevitable daily decision to partake in the internet roulette wheel, keeping a digital diary on his computer of images that have pinched his attention for one reason or another. A repository of fetishistic things the internet-feedback-loop-robots deem to be in his sphere of interest. A record of visions that double as suppositions; repeated forms, colors, gesticulations and compositions that apparently dominate what he is digitally drawn to. An observation on pulp, masculinity, femininity, sexuality, identity and cultural habits; fashion, design, rhythm, movement, photography and a certain kind of grim humor.
As a result he’s experimented with different ways to parse the archive, a series called “Notes For Telemarketers.”
